Sandstone is an iconic Australian raw material, a natural gem that can accentuate a building work and serve as a noticeably beautiful remnant of the underlying soil and rock we construct our homes and buildings upon.  


We are a family business that specialises in the supply and fixing of sandstone for small and large-scale residential and commercial works in the Hills district and Sydney wide. 


Our team consists of experienced stonemasons with decades of experience in the stonemasonry industry, and is led by a licenced builder.  


We use Australian-sourced sandstone in all our works, and can offer our clients a range of sandstone grades, cuts, finishes and sizes at their request. 

Our History

"Ḥajar" (Arabic: حَجَر‎) means "stone" or "rock"

The roots of our family business began over 40 years ago in our home country, Lebanon, where our grandfather Antonios Sarkis established a Limestone quarry in the mountainous village of Zgherteghrine. Antonios worked with his children, among them including our father Youssef Sarkis who continued to work in and manage the quarry for over a decade. Fast forward to 2014, Youssef and his sons travelled to Australia to engage in further studies in stonemasonry and building, as well as work in the Sarkis Bros newly acquired company, Gosford Quarries. In 2019, Vestige Contracting Group Pty Limited was established as a new generation family business focused on sandstone installation, renovations and building Sydney wide.
